Church of the Resurrection & Monastery at Abu Ghosh
And David and all Israel went up to Ba'alah, that is, to Kir'iath-je'arim which belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark  of God, which is called by the name of the LORD who sits enthroned above the cherubim. - 1 Chronicles 13:6

The Crusader Church of the Resurrection was built in 1142. A French monastic community of monks and nuns follow St. Benedict's rule.
Easter Vigil Liturgy & Baptism
Dear Friends in Christ, on this most holy night, when our Lord Jesus Christ passed from death to life, the Church invites her children throughout the world to come together in vigil and prayer.  This is the Passover of the Lord. (from Easter Vigil liturgy)

Abu Ghosh is an Arab village overlooking the Judean hills west of Jerusalem.  It is revered by Christians and Muslims as an early site of the Ark of the Covenant, which David later moved to Jerusalem (1 Sam. 6:21-7:2; 1 Chron. 13:5-8).

These Benedictine nuns, like the prophetess Anna, devout their lives to prayer and intercession in the house of the Lord (Luke 2:37)

The Crusader Church is built over the remains of a Roman fortification and an ancient spring
